So even if you have a 2.0 soundbar, or TV, or Roku speakers or whatever, it still won't "activate" 3D audio because it knows you don't have a headset connected. Tempest 3D Audio is going to be the PS5's "Smart Delivery" isn't it? It's going to be the thing a lot people don't understand but think they do and end up posting misinformation about it without realizing it.ĪFAIK, if your PS5 doesn't detect HEADPHONES specifically, it won't apply the Tempest 3D "effect" to the audio output, and instead falls back on whatever your current audio device supports. ![]()
